Reflections

  • I was quite impressed with myself for this as I managed a fairly respectable speed given the terrain. Next time I might come up via the tarn to give myself a bit more of a gentle incline as a warm-up
  • I didn’t not enjoy getting beaten up by a grouse that decided I was not allowed to run along the track. It actually took off and beat me around the head. I assume it thought I was too close to its nest, stupid thing.
  • Sadly, following the implementation of the Northern Fail timetable a few days later, going running on Ilkley Moor is now a full-on expedition requiring a full half day. Running is on hold for now.
